BB1 Takes Home the Win at the 2024 State Band Championships!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that BB1 has taken home the win in the Open A Grade Brass Band Section at the 2024 QLD State Band Championships on the weekend! This victory means so much to us, and we couldn't be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and passion that went into preparing for this incredible event.
A massive thank you goes to Howard Taylor, who stepped in as our interim conductor. Howard’s leadership, expertise, and unwavering support were key in guiding us through the preparations for the competition. His ability to bring out the best in each player made all the difference, and we are incredibly grateful for his time and effort.
We’d also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Queensland Band Association (QBA) & Maryborough Brass for organising such a well-run and exciting competition. The event was an incredible experience, filled with fantastic performances from all the competing bands. It’s always inspiring to see so much talent in the brass band community!
This win is not just about the trophy—it’s a testament to the teamwork, dedication, and camaraderie that make our band what it is and this victory is another chapter in what we hope will be many more to come.
Congratulations must also go to Daniel Kirakovski for representing Brisbane Brass in the Slow Melody Competition on Friday night. The event featured a stunning array of talented soloists and Daniel is to be commended on his wonderful performance.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us on the road to States. Here’s to continuing to make beautiful music together and pushing ourselves to reach new heights in the future!
