A Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity for Brisbane’s Musicians

Brisbane Brass is proud to announce that Brisbane Brass 2 (BB2) has been selected to represent Australia at World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, as part of the prestigious Cultural Program in the Australian Pavilion. This extraordinary opportunity will see over 40 of our talented musicians showcase the very best of Australian music on the world stage, performing in front of more than 23 million visitors from across the globe. It's a chance to share our rich cultural heritage and celebrate the unique sounds of Australian brass music.  

While we are passionate about this opportunity, the financial burden of international travel presents a challenge. To make this dream a reality, we are actively seeking sponsorship to assist with touring costs for our musicians.

For many of our musicians, especially the emerging young talents who are performing internationally for the first time, this experience will be transformative. It offers an unparalleled opportunity for personal and professional growth, expanding their skills, confidence, and sense of global citizenship. This will be a pivotal moment in their journeys, both as artists and individuals.

This is not just a milestone for BB2 & our organisation; it's an opportunity to celebrate and preserve the vibrant tradition of brass banding in Australia and globally.
