QLD State Championships: A Grand Opening with the Besson Slow Melody Competition

The Queensland State Championships kicked off in style with a captivating start—the Besson Slow Melody Competition! The event showcased 12 talented soloists, each representing their bands in a display of musical finesse and artistry.

Congratulations to the winners of this prestigious competition:

  • 1st Place: Tamaryn Mirabito from Brisbane Excelsior, who took home $500 for herself and $500 for her band.

  • 2nd Place: May Eisenmenger from Bayside Brass, earning $250 for herself.

  • 3rd Place: Olivia Stein from Cairns Youth Brass, also receiving $250.

A special shoutout to Adam Haks for his stellar representation of Brisbane Brass in the slow melody competition last night.
